WELCOME TO THE WEBSITE FOR THE ALVINGTON SINGERS.
The choir was formed in 1985 as a chamber choir, based in Kingsbridge and gathering members from around the South Hams. We enjoy singing a wide range of sacred and secular choral music with our inspiring Musical Director Harriet Oakley, and usually arrange a number of concerts locally throughout the year.
We rehearse every Wednesday at 7.00 p.m. during term time, in The Methodist Church, Kingsbridge - rehearsals start again on Wednesday 8th January 2025.
We are looking to recruit singers for our Tenor and Bass sections currently, so do get in touch via our website or Facebook page if you would like to learn more, or come along to a rehearsal and meet us - or phone Liz Coates, our Membership Secretary, on 07784 642090 if you would like to chat beforehand.
We have an exciting year ahead as the choir celebrates 40 years since it was first formed in 1985 - details of all our concerts are below.
Wednesday 12th February 2025 - Charity Concert at the Methodist Church, Kingsbridge @ 7.30 p.m. in support of their chosen charity - The Leprosy Mission.
